About the Sunnybrook Student Research Conference

Get ready Sunnybrook Learners and Leaders! The SRI Student Network (SSN) is hosting the Sunnybrook Student Research Conference this July 20th and 21st, 2021! The Sunnybrook Student Research Conference is a two-day virtual conference run by students, for students, in order to connect our fellow learners and future leaders. The conference will include four keynote presentations by Sunnybrook’s very own researchers. This conference is an incredible milestone and we hope you choose to be a part of it!

Due to the virtual nature of this conference, all presentations (keynote and student) will be live, oral presentations. We hope this will facilitate a greater sense of connection in this virtual world. As a result, no poster presentations will be accepted this year – we hope to include poster presentations next year when we can resume in-person events. Selected student presentations will be organized into one of four research areas (Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Evaluative Clinical Sciences, and Practice-Based Sciences). The conference will conclude with an awards ceremony to celebrate the best oral presentations in each research category.

Please use this form link below to register for the conference if you would like to attend and/or 2. submit your abstract for a chance to give a 5-minute oral presentation (+ 3-minute question and answer period) at the conference. Registration is open to all Sunnybrook employees. Abstract submissions are only open to Sunnybrook students enrolled in a degree, summer, or professional program (including post-doctorates).

The deadline to register for the conference is Sunday, July 11st, 2021 at 11:59 PM.

The deadline to submit an abstract is Sunday, June 18th, 2021 at 11:59 PM.

Please reach out to us at sri.studentnetwork@gmail.com if you have any questions. An updated poster and schedule will be sent out later this week.
